Bohemian Park Ichu Coffee Main

Bohemian Park Ichu Coffee Main sits on a quiet lane in Yeongjin, within walking distance of the beach and harbour at the northern end of Gangneung's coast. It is run by Park Ichu, one of Korea's first generation baristas and a pioneer of hand drip coffee, and the room is tucked behind an ivy covered wall. The coffee is brewed by hand from beans the cafe roasts itself.

Opening days are short: Thursday and Friday from nine to five, and Saturday and Sunday from eight to five, closed Monday to Wednesday. There is a terrace, free parking behind the building and high chairs for small children, and drip bags and whole beans are sold to take home. Highlights on the cafe's Instagram page are devoted to drip extraction and to what makes a good cup.
