manucoffee Daimyo

A black drip bag printed with a white eclipse and the words The Dark Side of the Moon, Dark Roast, lying on a rough concrete floor

manucoffee Daimyo is the Daimyo shop of the Fukuoka coffee company that started in 2003 and sums up its idea as a cup of universe, coffee as the place where people, the city and different cultures mix. It has about 48 seats, with smoking kept outside, and opens every day from nine in the morning until midnight.

The coffee comes from farms the company works with, and since 2018 its Artist in Coffee Farm program has sent artists to partner farms in Nicaragua. The company also turns coffee grounds and roasting chaff into fertiliser for local farmland.
