fuu coffee

Bright interior with a wooden bench table, two small tables and a stool beneath a large window looking onto a tiled courtyard, with bare bulb pendant lights overhead

fuu coffee opened in September 2020 in Hirao, a short walk from Yakuin Odori station, as a place to take a breath in the middle of a busy day, which is where the name comes from. It is run by its owner, Sayuri, and seats nine.

The drip menu has a house blend alongside single origin coffees from Colombia, Guatemala and Ethiopia, with espresso drinks and a few baked sweets and custard pudding to go with them. The shop also serves coffee by the pot for small groups and hosts baby and children's events. Beans and drip bags are sold in the shop and online.
