Coffee County Fukuoka

The long bright room of Coffee County Fukuoka, with a white ceiling and pendant lights, a wooden counter and shelves of bagged beans down one side, and a communal table with a plant in the middle

Coffee County Fukuoka opened in September 2016 as the second shop of a roastery that began in Kurume in 2013. The founder spent about three months in Central America before opening, living and working on a farm in Nicaragua, and the coffees on the counter still come mainly from farms the team has visited.

The room is a relaxed space a five minute walk from Yakuin Station, with an art gallery corner and pop up events. The kitchen makes sweets to pair with the coffee, inspired by Central and South American growing regions, alongside seasonal fruit drinks.
