CARBON COFFEE opened in 2018 on a back lane in Daimyo, a short walk from Akasaka station, as a coffee stand with an art gallery attached. The gallery hosts exhibitions by creators through the year along with pop up stores, and the shop describes itself as a meeting place for young creators.

The coffee is specialty coffee made with the brand's own roasted beans, served alongside organic Japanese matcha drinks and hot sandwiches. There are only a few seats inside, so many visitors take their drinks away.
