drei kaffeebar

drei kaffeebar sits on Fahrgasse at the eastern edge of the Altstadt, close enough to the cathedral that a slow cup here fits naturally into a morning walk through the old town. Stephan and Romy Ebel opened the bar in 2020 with exposed concrete, pale flooring and a broad front window that keeps the small room bright without turning the visit into a design statement.
Espresso here runs deliberately light, pulled long through a Bentwood grinder to preserve acidity and clarity as the shot cools, so a straight espresso reads the roast better than a milk drink does. The bar started as a multi roaster and still rotates coffee from European and international names, alongside V60 and AeroPress filter and a small retail shelf of beans and brewing gear to take home. A short pastry case of cinnamon rolls and cakes rounds out the counter. It closes on Mondays and keeps daytime hours the rest of the week.
