Esmee runs Community Square inside Strijp-S, the former Philips industrial site now given over to Eindhoven's creative and cultural scene, pouring beans from Amsterdam's Back to Black, a roastery that has built its own reputation on direct trade transparency since 2015. The room shares its footprint with Foundation We Are, a free entry exhibition space, giving the shop a gallery adjacent feel unlike anywhere else on this list.

A daily rotating menu of homemade pastries, soup and quiche runs alongside the coffee, and Esmee hosts barista workshops on site for anyone wanting to learn the craft rather than just drink the result.
