Kis Sziget Kávézó

The garden patio at Kis Sziget Kávézó, with wooden folding chairs, a lantern, and a swing bench among potted plants

Kis Sziget runs out of a wooden pavilion behind a white picket fence on Kertész utca, more garden kiosk than typical cafe storefront, with rooftop and courtyard seating that makes it a magnet for slow mornings. The name means little island, and the house line about being an island of calm holds up once you are seated among the plants.

Coffee comes from Art of Coffee Roastery, brewed as a house blend built specifically for the shop, while the rest of the menu wanders into chai, matcha, cocktails and fresh juice well past what a typical coffee bar attempts. A written dog etiquette policy spells out house rules for four legged guests rather than leaving it to guesswork, and live music turns up some evenings.
