Kávésdoboz Coffee Bar & Deli

Kávésdoboz opened as Eger's first wild sourdough bakery, and the specialty coffee side of the business grew alongside it into a proper coffee bar in its own right, now with more than a decade of experience pulling espresso and filter coffee from Hungarian micro roasters. The Jókai Mór utca space doubles as a deli counter, its shelves stocked with cheese, ham, wine, jam and chocolate from small Hungarian producers, more than ninety percent of everything on the shelf sourced domestically.
Breakfast plates built around the house sourdough draw a steady crowd through the morning, and beans go home with customers whole, ground or in capsules. The shop has landed in the Street Kitchen Guide every year since 2024 and made Gault&Millau's pop category list in 2025, recognition that lines up with its Jókai Mór corner having quietly become one of Eger's better breakfast addresses.
