Cafēn

A top-down espresso in a white cup and saucer with a spoon resting on the rim, on a sunlit wooden deck

Cafēn started as a multi roaster brew bar on Dundas Street before switching to house roasting within its first six months, a shift that turned a New Town newcomer into a full production coffee shop almost immediately. The single room stays minimalistic on purpose, built around clarity rather than a long menu of add ons.

A Slayer machine anchors the espresso side, roasting kept intentionally light to show off origin character across limited release lots rather than chasing consistency through blending. Daily hours from morning to early evening make it as workable a stop on a Sunday as any weekday.
