Schvarz Kaffee

Schvarz Kaffee occupies Halle 31 inside the Alte Farbwerke, a former paint factory complex in Flingern, where a mezzanine loft looks down over the roaster, the espresso bar, and shelves stacked with its own bags of beans. Arthur Fuchs and Erkan Karakaya started the microroastery in 2015, building the business around direct trade relationships with small farms and cooperatives.
The daily lineup runs through espresso, filter, and cold brew alongside seasonal specials like a watermelon infused batch, and the kitchen sends out banana bread and a dense, moist cheesecake. It is open every day of the week from 10am to 6pm, with a gravel terrace out front for anyone who would rather sit outside near the old rail line.
