On a residential stretch of Ackerstraße in Flingern, Jaenner Modern Coffee pairs a minimalist, high ceilinged room with an urban edge borrowed from Austrian coffee house tradition. The beans come from Lightroast, the microroastery a short walk away, roasted light enough that each origin keeps its own character rather than disappearing into a house blend.

Flat whites and ice matcha lattes carry detailed latte art, and the kitchen turns out a cardamom bun alongside banana bread topped with blueberries and yogurt and a rotating ham and cheese or pastrami croissant. It closes on Mondays, opens at 8am on weekdays and shifts to a 10am start on weekends, both running until 6pm.
