Vice Coffee Inc

The illuminated Wigwam sign above the entrance on Middle Abbey Street, where Vice Coffee Inc runs its counter

Tom Stafford started his coffee career in 2011 as head barista under Colin Harmon at 3fe, and when 3fe closed its original Middle Abbey Street bar in January 2013 to focus on roasting, Stafford took over the space and launched Vice Coffee Inc there himself. A late 2015 renovation turned the surrounding building into Wigwam, a shared venue with a rum bar, a Brazilian kitchen, and a ping pong club, and Vice has kept running the coffee counter inside it ever since.

The rotating menu pulls from a long list of well regarded roasters, Square Mile, Coffee Collective, and Dublin's own 3fe among them, with bagged beans sold through Vice's own webshop. It's best known locally for iced coffee, cake, and an annual Irish Coffee Championship it runs itself, a fittingly playful specialty for a coffee bar operating inside a nightclub.
