Nightjar roasts and serves from Warehouse G62 on Alserkal Avenue, the Al Quoz warehouse district of galleries and studios, and a yellow and navy mural of the brand's night bird marks the picnic table terrace out front. The team describes itself as a crew of counterculture devotees, and the room matches, with an open kitchen, a rotisserie turning chickens, bar seats, communal tables and vinyl on the stereo.

Green coffee is bought through direct trade or fully transparent protocols, then roasted on site and poured as espresso drinks, slow drip and cold brews on tap, with creative mocktails alongside. Breakfast plates, salads, pancake stacks and homemade custard pie keep the tables full, and with no bookings taken, arriving a little early at peak hours is the way to get a seat.
