Blackout opened its first shop in 2018 and has grown into one of Doha's more recognizable specialty chains, rooms scattered from Mall of Qatar to the Corniche's Old Doha Port. The West Bay branch sits inside the Qabila Westbay Hotel on Diplomatic Street, a sleek black and concrete room built for the district's office crowd rather than tourists passing through.

Espresso and filter both get equal billing on the menu, brewed from beans the company sources and roasts under strict quality standards, alongside a matcha program regulars rate as highly as the coffee itself. Outdoor seating catches the morning shade before West Bay's towers block it by midday, and regulars keep coming back less for any single drink than for staff who remember their order and an owner who greets customers personally.
