% Arabica

The illuminated percent sign and coffee sack display at % Arabica's storefront window in Msheireb Downtown Doha

% Arabica's first Qatar shop opened inside Msheireb Downtown, the walkable, car free district built around Doha's old railway quarter, and the design follows the brand's Kyoto rulebook exactly: white terrazzo, floor to ceiling glass, and a single roasting counter visible from the street. The chain built its global reputation on the line See The World Through Coffee and keeps the same short menu everywhere it opens, espresso, lattes, and little else.

Wooden benches line the courtyard out front, facing a row of fountains across Wadi Msheireb Street, and the espresso here draws the same steady queue of tourists and downtown office workers found at every other % Arabica from Kyoto to Dubai. A Kyoto latte, a cold Spanish latte, and a short pastry list round out a menu that never competes with the coffee for attention.
