Novo Coffee Downtown

Black and white view of the Novo Coffee Downtown entrance, with a fenced patio, an umbrella and a round hanging sign.

Novo Coffee was founded in Denver in 2002 and describes itself as a pioneer of Colorado's coffee culture. It buys from the same farms year after year, sometimes through importers and sometimes directly from producers, with the aim of improving what farmers are paid and the quality of the coffee. Its tagline is Get Closer, and current single origin offerings include lots such as Buesaco, Danche and Java Frinsa.

The downtown cafe on Glenarm Place is open weekdays from half past six in the morning to five in the afternoon and weekends from seven to four. The company also runs a roastery on Larimer Street that offers Friday tours, a tasting of four coffees, and classes in brewing, espresso and latte art.
