Tre Stelle Coffee Co began in late 2019 as a micro roasting company founded by Jonathan Ghebreamlak and his father Yordan, and grew into a full roastery and cafe in far North Dallas in 2022. The name comes from a cafe in Asmara, Eritrea, that Jonathan visited in 2019, and its Italian meaning, three stars, nods to the Italian cultural influences in Eritrea.

Coffee is roasted in small batches on an Ambex roaster that sits in view of the bright, modern room, where Eritrean and Ethiopian baskets hang beside local art. The tight lineup includes a Highlands Blend of Colombian, Brazilian and Ethiopian beans, a fruit forward Brazilian natural and a light Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. Hours run from seven to five on weekdays and seven to six at weekends.
