Eiland Coffee Roasters

Founded in 1998 by Clay Eiland, Eiland Coffee Roasters has been part of the North Texas specialty coffee community for nearly three decades. What began with Clay's curiosity about an extraordinary cup of coffee has grown into a roastery dedicated to exploring the depth, diversity, and potential of specialty coffee. In 2013, Clay became the first person in North Texas to earn his Q Grader certification, reflecting a longstanding commitment to coffee quality and sensory evaluation.
At the heart of the operation is a 1969 German cast iron Probat roaster, prized for its exceptional heat retention and stability. The coffee program features a carefully curated selection of single origins, distinctive microlots, and thoughtfully developed blends, from approachable everyday coffees to rare and exceptional lots. Located on North Interurban Street in Richardson, the original roastery is a more intimate grab and go stop where visitors can enjoy freshly prepared coffee, explore the current selection of roasted beans, and connect directly with the place where it all comes together.
