The Berni Bean Coffee Co (Downtown)

The Berni Bean Coffee Co opened in downtown Dallas in 2021, founded by Giuliana and Stefano Bernini, whose Costa Rican family has been in coffee for generations. The coffee comes from producers in several growing regions of Costa Rica, chosen for quality and for the honey toned, fruity sweetness that careful drying gives them, and it is roasted in Austin before reaching Dallas.

The room nods to rainforest lushness, and the drinks run from cafe con leche to tropical lattes and seasonal specials, with bagel and croissant sandwiches alongside. The shop explains specialty coffee on its own site as coffee scoring at least eighty points, and bags are sold to take home. It opens at half past seven on weekdays and half past eight at weekends, closing at four on weekdays and at three at weekends.
