Tangerina Café

Gislaine Soares, a photographer and barista, and Karen Tabatini, who left a career in tech, opened Tangerina in Agua Verde in June 2021, building the menu around filter methods rather than treating them as an afterthought to espresso. Hario V60 is the most ordered method, alongside Aeropress and Origami, with espresso drinks available from a Simonelli machine for anyone who wants the more familiar format.

The signature drink, called Gelado da Barista, mixes plant based and dairy milk with dulce de leche, cinnamon and coffee over ice, and the shop has occasionally teamed up with a nearby brewery for cross promotions in the neighborhood.
