ROAST Coffee Sydhavn

ROAST's Sydhavn site on Pladehals Allé is a coffee bar and roastery in one, where beans roasted in Copenhagen go straight to the counter. The company was founded in 2014 around a transparent channel between farmers and coffee lovers, and its 50/50 label guarantees growers half of the retail price after sales taxes and duties. Recent coffees have included a floral Ethiopian from the Ayla washing station and a fruity Kenyan from the Kamwangi factory.

ROAST also runs a coffee academy from its Copenhagen roastery, with monthly cuppings, barista basics, latte art and SCA skills courses, and the Sydhavn room has hosted a talk and cupping with Scott Rao. One of the team won the Danish AeroPress Championship. The bar opens at seven on weekdays and nine at weekends, closing at six.
