Original Coffee Christianshavn

Original Coffee is Copenhagen's largest specialty coffee chain, and the Christianshavn branch is one of its most scenic, set directly on the Overgaden Neden Vandet canal with a straight sightline to Vor Frelsers Kirke's spiral tower. The brand roasts its own beans and trains its own baristas across close to twenty locations citywide, but this particular room stays small and calm, white walls, oak furniture, and a run of framed local photography rather than anything corporate feeling.

Espresso, flat white, and filter share the counter with pastries baked at the company's own Kødbyen bakery, and outdoor tables along the canal catch the morning sun whenever the weather allows it. It's as much a Christianshavn neighborhood stop as a chain outpost, close enough to Christiania and the metro to work as a break between the two.
