The Coffee Gang

The Coffee Gang holds a corner spot on Hohenstaufenring where floor to ceiling windows and simple wooden benches spill onto the pavement in warmer months. Two baristas who met while working in Sydney's cafe scene opened it in late 2013 and built a reputation strong enough that the shop is often named the best cafe in the city.

Filter and espresso both run on the Homeblend, a house mix of Brazilian and Ethiopian beans from JB Kaffee, with cold brew, cascara tonic and a widely praised cheesecake rounding out the counter. Bagged coffee is sold at the till, both the house blend and beans from the Cologne roaster Ernst, in a room built more for conversation than settling in with a screen.
