Tasa Coffee Roasters

The pale wood counter at Tasa Coffee Roasters with a menu board and the Tasa wall lettering

Tasa Coffee Roasters is a café and roastery on West North Avenue in Humboldt Park, the neighborhood where owner Jackie Marquez grew up. It began as an idea in the early months of 2020, when she and her husband, daydreaming about a restaurant, decided that a café and roastery would let them share their love of both food and coffee.

The mission is great locally roasted coffee, and the counter is paired with a kitchen: empanadas and Cuban sandwiches are made to order, a reflection of her culinary training. The room is pale and modern, with a long wood slat counter, a menu board behind it and a wall sign in soft lettering. Coffee and merchandise are also shipped, and the doors are open from seven until three, with an earlier close on Mondays and a later start at weekends.
