Overflow Coffee is a South Loop cafe in the former building of Vee Jay Records at 1449 South Michigan Avenue, a landmark of the Chicago music industry, and it describes itself as a space to prosper, a place to foster hope, creativity and community. Hand brewed coffee and freshly baked pastries made in house each day carry the feeling of home through the room.

The coffee is from Metric, the Chicago specialty roaster, and the cafe works as a gathering place for artists and neighbors, with the space available to rent and a calendar of events that extends the building's history in the arts and performance. It is open Monday to Friday from seven until three, and on weekends from eight until four, a short walk from the Michigan Avenue corridor.
