Metropolis Edgewater Café

Metropolis Coffee Company has been roasting in Chicago for more than twenty years, and its Edgewater Café on West Granville Avenue is the flagship, a bustling room that draws a mix of generations and nationalities with quick, kind service. The coffee comes from producers and importers the company knows and trusts, roasted at its own roastery in the same city.

The counter serves espresso drinks and brewed coffee alongside local savory and sweet snacks, and beans can be ordered online for pickup. The company also runs a learning center and a second café at O'Hare, but this is the original neighborhood room, and it is open every day of the week from six thirty in the morning until five thirty in the evening.
