Metric Coffee

Metric Coffee opened its West Town cafe on October 10, 2016, a 400 square foot walk up window on the northeast corner of the company's training center in the Kinzie Corridor. A glass divider gives customers an open view into the training space, so the people learning the craft are part of the room.
The design mixes modern industrial and Scandinavian inspired touches, with blonde and pink slats on the walls and ceiling, walnut counters and exposed brick, and a small patio sits out front. The menu covers freshly roasted single origin and blended coffees, espresso, batch brew, cold brew and Spirit Tea, with baked goods and brewing gear on offer. Metric works with producers in eight countries and describes its approach as built on transparency, sustainability and fair prices. It is open daily from seven until four.
