Groundswell Coffee Roasters

Groundswell Coffee Roasters opened in 2015 on North Damen Avenue in Ravenswood, a relaxed coffeehouse built around coffee roasted in small batches. The lineup runs from a seasonal blend and an espresso blend to single origin coffees from places such as Rwanda, Honduras and Costa Rica, with decaf and rare teas on the side.

The counter adds local bakery selections and house made panini, which makes it a reasonable stop for a light lunch as well as a morning cup, in a room that feels easy and unhurried. The company runs a second shop on West Madison Street in the West Loop, while this Ravenswood original is open every day, from six thirty in the morning until three in the afternoon.
