Bridgeport Coffeehouse

Bridgeport Coffee Company has roasted its coffee on site at this South Side address since 2004, predating the mid 2010s wave of Logan Square and Wicker Park third wave shops by a decade. Its Relationship Coffee program builds long term direct partnerships with farmers, including a long standing one behind its Ethiopian Yirgacheffe.

It is one of Chicago's longer running independent roaster cafes, having built its name well before specialty coffee became a crowded field across the city.
