Backlot Coffee is an independent specialty coffee company founded in 2016 by John Kim and Isaac Bloom, with a roastery and cafes across Chicagoland. The Old Irving Park cafe on North Avondale Avenue is its Chicago neighborhood shop, a room that serves espresso and filter drinks made from the company's own roasting.

The cafe menu includes breakfast and lunch items such as a veggie burrito, hot quiche, overnight oats and a parfait, along with croissants, donuts from Do Rite Donuts, banana bread and a vegan scone. Backlot also offers roastery tours and classes, and sells its coffee online and in the shop. The cafe opens at six thirty on weekdays and seven on weekends and closes at five every day.
