Allez Café

The pastry counter at Allez Cafe with rows of plain, almond and chocolate croissants and glazed twists on cooling racks beside a wall of pink tiles

Allez Café opened in 2023 on North Western Avenue and calls itself a neighborhood café rooted in thoughtful hospitality. It is known for house made pastries, laminated and seasonal, and for a breakfast sandwich that took on a life of its own online, but the coffee program is serious, with a La Marzocco espresso machine and guest roasters from well regarded names around the country.

The room is small and sweet, with blush colored tile around the bar, a terrazzo two top by the window and a communal table at the back. Milk comes from Kilgus Farms, and syrups are made in house. The company also runs an espresso cart for events and a second counter at the Cara Cara Club on North Kedzie Boulevard. The cafe is open from eight to two every day.
