Kolektiv

Two streets from the castle walls, Kolektiv was the first place in Krumlov to put filter coffee next to espresso on the menu, and it has stayed one of the busiest brunch addresses in town ever since. Big windows lined with cushioned seats look out onto the lane heading toward the castle, and the open room inside is hung with paintings by Czech artists rather than the usual tourist prints.
Coffee runs through French press and batch brew alongside the standard espresso drinks, sourced from La Bohème roastery, while the kitchen leans into eggs, gluten free options, and fresh baked pastry through the morning. Come evening the same room shifts toward its wine list, so it works equally well for a slow breakfast or a glass of something later in the day.
