Drunken Coffee

A cappuccino with heart-shaped latte art held in both hands over a wooden table at Drunken Coffee

Set on the ground floor of a building along the river that also houses a small hotel, Drunken Coffee has built its name on the view from its terrace, straight across the water to Krumlov's painted castle tower. A local team keeps it running year round, and mornings before the day trip buses arrive from Prague tend to be the quietest and easiest time to get a seat outside.

Kmen Coffee supplies the espresso and filter menu alongside rotating guest roasters from around the region, and the kitchen adds homemade cheesecake, sandwiches, and lemonades through the day. Once the sun starts going down, the same counter switches over to Czech beer, rum, and gin, so it works as easily for an evening drink as a mid morning coffee.
