Lamberts Coffee House

Lamberts Coffee House fills 16 and 17 Dublin Street, a building that spent most of its life as the Globe Inn, a stop on the stage coach road between Dublin and Kilkenny, and was remodelled in 1699 after a fire. It later became Lamberts Newsagents, opened in the 1960s by the grandparents of owner Brian Lambert and run by his parents until 2020.
Today the old inn is a coffee house serving coffee from roasters across Ireland and Europe, with Cloud Picker on the counter, and everything on the food side is baked in house from scratch. A stone and brick fireplace anchors the room, the bench inside came from the barber shop that once traded here, and the house hosts open mic nights.
