Rosetta Roastery Bree Street

Rosetta's flagship cafe opened in October 2020 on the sunny north east corner of Bree and Shortmarket Streets, marking ten years for a roastery that began as three friends with a shared passion for specialty coffee. The room is a polished departure from the brand's early black on black look, with crisp white finishes, green marble and warm textured wood, and co founder Rob Cowles chose the corner for its morning light.

This is the most complete expression of the Rosetta idea, with a filter brew bar, a choice of two single origin coffees for espresso based drinks and the entire range of Rosetta roasted coffees available to take home. There are no house blends here, only a rotating list of single origins treated like a seasonal menu, and in house baked pastries and light meals round out the counter.
