Momos Roastery and Coffee Bar

Momos opened its Yeongdo roastery and coffee bar in December 2021 inside a converted harbour warehouse in Bongnae. A wide entrance frames the barges and the harbour across the water, and the roasting equipment sits on the same high ceilinged floor as the bar, with deck chairs facing out to the quay.

The company began in 2007 as a tiny takeaway counter in Oncheonjang, and its barista Jooyeon Jeon won the 2019 World Barista Championship. At Yeongdo the team roasts the house blends and the single estate coffees, brews them at the bar and sells them by the bag.
