Hytte Roastery Gwangan

Hytte's Gwangan shop is one floor up on a side street off Suyeong Road, a high ceilinged room of exposed concrete, warm wood and green tile. A bar with a red column stands in the middle, where baristas pour hand drip in front of you, and a window bar looks out into a row of ginkgo trees.

Orders are written on a paper slip with the drink, hot or iced, and the bean you want. The beans are lined up with small jars to smell and cards of tasting notes, from Ethiopian coffees to a Vietnamese lot, and Hytte roasts them itself. Bags and drip bags are on the shelves, and the wall by the window is covered in stickers from other roasters.
