Baunova Coffee

Inside Baunova Coffee, a high room of dark timber beams and posts hung with bare bulbs, with a brewing bar and grinder on the left and wooden tables by tall windows on the right

Baunova opened in September 2012 in the old downtown streets between Nampo and Jagalchi, and it still roasts on site on a Probat L5 on the ground floor. The room is narrow, with a few seats outside the door and more tables upstairs, and the look is deliberately analog.

The focus is single origin coffee roasted for sweetness and balance, and the roast is nudged lighter or darker through the year to suit the milk in the lattes. Beans and drip bags are sold from the front counter.
