Lattente

Lattente is one of Argentina's earliest specialty coffee bars. Colombian barista Daniel Cifuentes, who represented Argentina at the World Barista Championship, opened it with his partner Zehan Nurhadzar around 2010, and it has since grown into a small family of branches across Palermo, Belgrano and beyond.

The Thames counter in Palermo Soho keeps things focused on the coffee: house roasted espresso, a dedicated filter coffee programme and bags of beans sold with clear origin details, in a compact room where you order at the counter and take a seat at the communal table or on the sidewalk. The roasting aims for coffees that are consistent and versatile, so the cup is easy and pleasant to drink, and it is a satisfying quick stop on a walk through Palermo.
