Vaskapu - Coffee Beyond

Gábor opened Vaskapu, Coffee Beyond on Haller utca in the closing weeks of 2025 and the first weeks of 2026, after three earlier attempts at getting a shop off the ground and years of his family owning the space itself, previously a driving school classroom that needed a full renovation before it could open. He runs the counter with Zoli and Zsombi, a trained barista, deliberately keeping the place slightly overstaffed so there is always time for a real conversation with whoever walks in.

Two grinders sit on the counter, one loaded with a fixed Brazilian roast built around hazelnut and chocolate notes, the other rotating through lighter specialty lots such as a Costa Rican El Salitre or a Peruvian Geisha, all roasted by Spektrum Coffee Roastery. Cortados and flat whites run alongside batch brew and pour over, paired with pesto mozzarella rolls, prosciutto bagels, and cardamom buns from the Termelő bakery and kombucha from Remete Manufaktúra, with no commercial soft drinks on the menu. A handful of red bistro tables sit out front under the vaskapu sign, and the shop welcomes both kids and dogs.
