Wide Awake Coffee

Rutger Callewier and Senina Cojocari met on a barista training course in London, an unlikely enough pairing, he had spent years in transport before two years living in New York, she was already Production Roaster for Assembly and Volcano Coffee Works and considering a move to Brussels anyway. What they agreed on was blunt: the coffee at most Brussels cafes just wasn't good, and they wanted to fix the supply side of that themselves. They launched during Brussels Coffee Week in October 2019.

This Flagey address runs as their fast paced satellite bar, roasting and quality control instead handled at their Dansaert Atelier flagship across town. Beans are sold both by the cup and in bags, and the room leans toward grab and go rather than lingering, though a sunny terrace gives it somewhere to sit when the weather allows.
