Small Street Espresso

Small Street Espresso has been serving espresso, filter, cakes and sandwiches in Bristol's Old City since 2012, from a compact independent coffee bar on Small Street, in Albion Chambers. The room is tiny and warm, with floorboards and exposed brick walls, and it feels more like a neighbourhood front room than a chain counter.

The house roast comes from Clifton Coffee, with guest roasters from Bristol, the UK and beyond alongside it, so the espresso and filter choices keep moving through the year. Breads, cakes and pastries are all made in Bristol, which keeps the food short, local and easy to eat standing up. It is a short weekday stop for a quick flat white or a longer filter before the afternoon, and the baristas take the same care either way.
