Little Victories

A glass fronted corner cafe with a slatted menu wall, pendant lamps and plants inside, and tables and benches with planters on the pavement outside

Little Victories is a compact espresso bar on Gaol Ferry Steps in Wapping Wharf, the container quarter on Bristol's harbourside, run by the same team behind Small Street Espresso. The corner room is wrapped in tall glass, with a slatted wall of lettered menu boards, pendant lamps and shelves of plants, and a few tables and benches in planters on the pavement outside.

The board runs from espresso, macchiato and piccolo to flat white, cappuccino and long black, with filter coffee brewed through a Chemex, alongside cakes and toasties and a range of cold drinks. It opens at eight on weekdays and nine at weekends, a convenient stop on a walk between the water, the shipping container shops and the New Cut.
