Single O

Single O built its name in Sydney's Surry Hills pushing single origin coffee and self serve batch brew long before either was standard, and this Newstead site was its first move into Brisbane, opening in August 2023 among the warehouses and gasworks conversions along Austin Street. Demand pushed the fit out further within the first year, nearly doubling the seat count to a 29 seat room.

The drawcard here is Queensland's first coffee on tap setup, with filter brews and rotating single origin batches poured straight from taps alongside the usual espresso menu, plus an iced oat latte that made the jump from the regular menu onto tap as well. Bags of Single O's own roasted beans line the shelves for anyone wanting to take the batch brew habit home.
