Coffee Anthology

Behind an 1890s heritage facade on Charlotte Street, a laneway precinct called Inter/Section links through to Mary Street, and Coffee Anthology anchors it as the specialty coffee counter of the development. The shop moved here after outgrowing its original Margaret Street home, trading a tight corner site for a tiered room with arched windows, stone surfaces and brass details under a La Marzocco Strada on the main bar.
Rather than roasting its own beans, Coffee Anthology built its name as a rotating showcase of Australia's specialty roasters, pouring names like Padre, Proud Mary, Almanac and Passport across a tight, changing list of blends and single origins. That rotating format, running since the shop's earliest days, helped introduce a lot of Brisbane's CBD workers to specialty coffee in the first place, and it's part of why the shop has kept turning up in international rankings of the world's best coffee shops.
