The Gardner Street bar runs on a Synesso espresso machine, pouring coffee from local roasters SkyLark and Pharmacie rather than settling on a single house name.

Soft jazz plays discreetly over a small seating area at the back, a deliberate contrast to the busy North Laine street outside. Vegan pastries round out the counter, the almond croissant in particular drawing repeat visits, with staff known for walking newcomers through the day's options rather than rushing the order.
