Koffie bij Teun

Teun and Inge Fransen opened this bar inside the De Barones shopping center in 2013, and it went on to be named best coffee bar in Brabant twice and to place in the Netherlands' national coffee rankings, an unusual pedigree for a shop sitting inside a mall rather than a standalone street front. Beans from Bocca and Fried Hats rotate through the grinder, and a resident tea sommelier prepares the leaf side of the menu with the same attention as the espresso.
Monthly barista workshops run at fifty five euros a head for anyone wanting to learn the craft behind the counter, and the shop changed hands in November 2025, when former manager Frederick Geertman, who also works as a visual artist under the name FG Art, took over from the Fransens after two and a half years managing the room. The name and character are being kept intact under the new ownership, with a creative, art leaning dimension layered in.
