Friends Ralf and Rob opened Kamu in 2016 as a genuine hybrid, a specialty coffee bar up front and a full working bicycle shop and workshop behind it, stocking niche bike brands and building custom rides for anyone who wants one. It is one of the more unusual concepts among Breda's coffee bars, closer to a clubhouse for the city's cycling scene than a standard cafe with bikes on the wall for decoration.

A workspace and gaming area sit alongside the coffee counter, and the shop is part of the Explore Creative Breda trail of sustainable, locally rooted businesses. It hosts cycling events and races through the year, and nine years into the business, it remains one of the longer running specialty spots in the city.
