Caffè Terzi

Manuel Terzi opened this bar in 2001 as, by his own account, the first shop in Italy dedicated entirely to coffee and tea, taking over a space near Due Torri that had spent its earlier life as a fiaschetteria wine tavern next to the Hotel Corona d'Oro. Terzi buys rare single origin arabicas from Indonesia, Ethiopia, Colombia, and India directly, without intermediaries, then roasts them on demand himself.

The house range runs through six numbered blends alongside certified organic options, poured in an old school, elegant room where regulars drink standing at the bar the way Bologna always has. Terzi has since expanded the name to a coffee lab in Vignola and a second shop in San Sebastián, Spain, but the Via Oberdan original is still where the reputation started.
